1. Scope

This policy applies to the PennyReel iOS and iPadOS app, this website, and PennyReel backend services. The current version does not require an account. The app creates a random device identifier to connect that device with its generation jobs, reusable assets, and works.

2. Information we process

• Creative content: prompts, stories, character and place descriptions, reference photos, videos or audio, storyboards, generated videos, and related job metadata.
• Device and service information: a random device identifier, IP address, request time, errors, and essential server logs. We do not integrate advertising-tracking SDKs.
• Purchases and credits: App Store product IDs, verified transaction identifiers, credit balance, and purchase, spending, and refund entries. We do not receive your card details or Apple Account payment credentials.
• Support information: the email address, message, screenshots, or other attachments you choose to send us.

3. Why we use it

• To write scripts and generate images, video, and complete films you request.
• To keep works available if a GPU node is restarted or replaced.
• To provide online playback, resumable downloads, reusable assets, credit accounting, and automatic technical-failure refunds.
• To secure the service, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and answer support requests.

4. Service providers and international processing

The minimum prompts and reference media required for a generation step may be processed by cloud infrastructure, GPU video-generation, AI writing, and image-generation providers. Apple processes purchases through StoreKit. These providers may process information only to perform their contracted service and are subject to their own security and privacy obligations.

AI generation may take place on servers outside your country. This processing is necessary to deliver the generation you request.

5. Storage and retention

Jobs, reusable assets, and completed works are kept on PennyReel's persistent server. GPU servers provide generation compute only. Downloaded works are also stored in the app's Application Support folder. A video is written to your Photos library only when you choose to save it there.

We retain server content while needed to provide your Library, recovery, and support. You can remove supported local items and assets in the app. To request deletion of all server data associated with your device, email us and include the device identifier shown in PennyReel Settings. Essential security logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for operations and troubleshooting.

6. Your choices and rights

You can omit optional reference media, control camera and photo permissions in system settings, and request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. We may verify your device identifier or other details before acting so that we do not disclose or delete someone else's work.

PennyReel is not directed to children under 13. Users must meet the minimum age shown in their local App Store and have any consent required by local law.

7. Security and changes

We use HTTPS, access controls, and reasonable operational safeguards. No online system is completely risk-free, so keep a downloaded copy of any irreplaceable work. We may update this policy when the product, law, or service providers change. The updated date and material changes will be posted here.

8. Contact and public addresses

Email us with privacy questions or data deletion requests. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
