Will my completed work disappear if the GPU server stops?
No. Jobs, reusable assets, and completed works are stored on PennyReel's persistent server. GPU nodes provide generation compute only. A completed video should remain streamable from Library if a GPU node is stopped, restarted, or replaced.
Does an interrupted download start over?
Normally, no. PennyReel supports HTTP resumable downloads. Keep the existing download entry and try again; the app resumes from the downloaded position. If the server copy changed, the app safely downloads the complete current file.
How do I make a selected character or place appear?
Before creating a clip or complete film, select the assets in the Cast & Sets picker. Every 15-second film scene receives the characters, places, and storyboard references assigned to that scene. The previous scene's last frame is not forced into the next scene.
How does complete-film production work?
Enter the story, length, style, and reusable assets. PennyReel first creates a script and quote without charging credits. After you approve the quote, it creates storyboard images—typically one every 1–5 seconds—and produces fixed 15-second scenes that are joined into the completed film.
When are credits charged?
A single clip is charged when its generation job is submitted. A complete film is charged only after you tap Shoot on the quote. The price shown before generation is the amount deducted.
What happens to credits when generation fails?
If a technical failure occurs after a deduction, PennyReel returns the credits automatically. Open Get Credits → Credit History to see purchases, spending, refunds, and the balance after every entry.
I paid, but my credits did not appear.
Stay online and restart PennyReel. Verified unfinished StoreKit transactions are checked and credited automatically. If the balance still does not update, email the purchase time and product name to support. Never send card information or your Apple Account password.
How do I delete my data?
Remove supported local downloads and assets in PennyReel. To request deletion of all content associated with your device on the persistent server, email us and include the device identifier shown in Settings.
App Store and in-app purchases
PennyReel offers consumable credit packs through Apple In-App Purchase. Available packs add 500 credits, 1,650 credits (including 150 bonus credits), or 4,800 credits (including 800 bonus credits). The app displays the price for your App Store region before purchase.
- Credits can be used for AI clips, storyboard and reusable-asset images, 15-second film scenes, and complete-film production.
- Credits are digital entitlements, not money. They cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
- Credits do not expire while the service remains in operation.
- If a charged generation fails for a technical reason, PennyReel automatically returns the deducted credits.
- Apple processes payment, taxes, price localization, and refund requests. PennyReel never receives your card number or Apple Account password.
